Athletic Training Student Aides

ARE YOU INTERESTED IN THE ATHLETIC TRAINING STUDENT AIDE PROGRAM?

Athletic Training Student Aides at College Station High School put in long hours of hard work day in and day out to assist the licensed and certified staff Athletic Trainers in providing care for all Cougar student-athletes.  Their dedication to the various athletic teams and to the athletic training program makes it possible to provide the level of care that Cougar athletes, coaches and parents have come to expect.

Many of these athletic training student aides have the goal of entering the sports medicine field as an athletic trainer, physical therapist, or possibly physicians.  Experiences gained in this program will someday prove to be a valuable base of knowledge and experience.  It is the goal of the staff athletic trainers to help athletic training student aides find the career path that is right for them.

HOW TO GET INVOLVED

The Process:

  1. Applicants and parent/guardian must read ALL aspects of the cover letter in the link below prior to completing the application.  The application link is found at the end of the cover letter.

  2. Please have at least TWO Letters of Recommendation emailed to: cshsathtrainer@csisd.org
    (These recommendations need to come from teachers, coaches, or administrators you have been associated with in Middle or High School.)

  3. The application will be verified for accuracy, and must be complete, before beginning the tryout period (Spring Football).

  4. The application and letters of recommendation are due by April 7th.

Prospective/Returning Athletic Training Student Aides are expected to attend all Spring Football practices and Physical Day unless approved by the staff athletic trainers.
