CSHS Varsity Wrestling

State Wrestling Tournament – The State 4A Wrestling Tournament will be held at the Delco Center in Austin, TX beginning on Thursday, February 21st. We will meet at the CSHS Field House Wednesday and leave at after school. Coaches meetings are at 7 pm with an open mat practice. Thursday, girls weigh ins are at 7 am at the Burger Center and the boys weigh in at the Delco Center. Friday, both will weigh in at 1 pm and begin wrestling at 2:30 pm together at the Delco Center. Saturday, both will weigh in at 2:30 pm and begin wrestling at 4 pm.

Head Coach Will Paul and Assistant Coach Dwight Mincher stated one of their goals for the 2012-2013 season was to field a team that excelled academically (similar to football and other CSHS Teams). Coach Paul posted the students that made either the A or AB Honor Roll for the 3rd Six Weeks or the Semester. Head Wrestling Coach: William Paul

Coach Paul is first and foremost an educator who is committed to guiding young men and women towards success through whatever endeavors they may choose. Will has nine years of experience coaching football and baseball with four years of experience as Head Wrestling Coach. Coach Paul's wife of ten years is also an educator and they have three children wih ages two, four and seven that keep them busy at home.

Assistant Wrestling Coach: Dwight Mincher

Coach Mincher has been coaching for 14 years and of those 7 have been coaching wrestling. Dwight is a graduate of Southwestern Oklahoma State University. He was a 3 year Letterman in football and played on the 1996 NAIA national championship team. Dwight has been married to his wife Cyndi for 16 years and they have two boys Austin (freshman at CSHS) and Jaxson a 3rd grader at Creekview.
